Shamann Walton, Nato Green bring laughs our big party!
We'd love to see you Oct. 27 for this wonderful, all-star community event.
We are FAR from done announcing all the great things happening at our big fundraising Triple Gala is coming to El Rio in the Mission on October 27, 6pm-9pm! Today's big announcement: Sup. Shamann Walton will be showing off his standup comedian side with beloved local comedian Nato Green!
Join us to celebrate 13 years of 48 Hills, 60 years of the Bay Guardian, and 52 years of Best of the Bay. We’ll have live entertainment, local bites, terrific cocktails, very special guests (including you!) and more.
Our lineup so far: Shamann Walton and Nato Green will be doing standup comedy, DJ Lizzy Al Toque will provide classic Latin soul tunes, Best of the Bay-winning Diva Dudes podcast will attend, delicious empanadas from Chile Lindo will be served! 2026 Best of the Bay winners will be in attendance! More to come.
Please help us continue our mission to keep local media fiercely independent, alternative, billionaire-free, and human-driven for another year! All of the money we raise goes to local writers, editors, designers, photographers, and artists.
We produce more than 1000 articles per year that cover politics and culture in ways the mainstream media won’t—and guide our thousands of readers to tens of thousands of local arts events, festivals, and protests.
SPONSOR THE GALA! We are looking for sponsors $500-$5000 to help us underwrite costs. Sponsors will be profusely acknowledged in the Gala program and on our website, and offered our eternal gratitude. 48 Hills/ SF Progressive Media Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Please contact marke@48hills.org for more info, and let’s keep local media independent together!
